Register of Active North Carolina CPAs

Pursuant to NCGS 93B-3, the Board is required to make available a register of all persons currently licensed by the Board. The “Register of Active North Carolina CPAs” contains names only and is sorted alphabetically. The register does not include those individuals who are on inactive, retired, suspended, revoked, or surrendered status. A register or list of those individuals who are on inactive, retired, suspended, revoked, or surrendered status is not available. The register is printed in two-column format on 8.5” by 11” paper and is approximately 200 pages. A deposit of $200 must be submitted with a completed order form. If the register is more than 200 pages, you will be invoiced at 50 cents per additional page. Payment of the invoice is due upon receipt. Please send your completed order form and $200 deposit to:  State Board of CPA Examiners, ATTN.:  Felecia Ashe, PO Box 12827, Raleigh, NC 27605-2827. Make your check payable to: NC State Board of CPA Examiners. Please allow at least two weeks for processing your order. If you have questions regarding the register, please contact Felecia Ashe at (919) 733-4223 or feleciaa@nccpaboard.gov.

Mailing Lists and Labels

The Board does not sell or rent the mailing addresses, phone numbers, or e-mail addresses of its current or former licensees or Uniform CPA Examination candidates. If you have any questions regarding the Board’s policy regarding mailing labels and lists, please contact the Board’s Executive Director, Robert N. Brooks.

Tax ID Number (IRS Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification)

Each year, the Board processes thousands of exam applications, firm registrations and renewals, as well as certificate applications and renewals. Each of these transactions involves the payment of a fee, either by check or credit card, and subsequently the Board receives hundreds of requests to complete an IRS Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification. To reduce the number of requests for the Board’s taxpayer identification number, the Board has made a completed W-9 form available here.
